Shane McMahon. Shano Mac. What on Earth is he doing having a match at Mania?
Styles was the outstanding wrestler of 2016. He should be headlining Mania and it would be guaranteed that he would tear the place down.
But no. He is facing Shane McMahon, a man who is not a wrestler but who can jump off things and can do an embarrassing version of the Ali Shuffle.
What must the roster think, who toil week in and week out as they get relegated to the Andre match yet Shane gets a match, and you just know that AJ is that good that could carry even Shane.
This is like Barcelona dropping Messi before the Champions League final so the owner's untalented son can play or Robert Kraft dropping Tom Brady at the Superbowl in favour of his grandson.
I know Styles will appear on RAW after Mania, but can anyone actually justify this match or say they are looking forward to it.

Last year was justifiable because of all the injuries and it was his big return. This year, there is no reason he should be having a match. There's way too much available talent for him to take up any spot at Mania, let alone big one. Hopefully there's a swerve still, but the McMahon family deserve their own course in abnormal psychology with their egos. So I'm not holding my breath.

I was hoping for a surprise from Shane saying that he didn't say he was his opponent but he had him 1 and brought out nakamura or something like that but looks like they are going with it.

They might bring nakamura up he said styles had a match but didn't say who it was against or have they announced it now my hope is Shane doesn't wrestle.

I'm not sure why they thought it was a good idea, AJ could put on a decent match with a broom, I assume this is just another way of giving Shane a pay day.

To think someone like Braun and Joe don't have matches is ridiculous.

Meltzer said that Vince isn't looking at the fact they are wasting Styles but more at the fact that his son has a top match at Mania. If that is true then it shows the backstage politics more than ever.

I can't wait for WM season to be over. For me the best PPV's of the year are usually Summerslam, MITB and Elimination Chamber. WM is to celebrity focused now. I think Summerslam gets the balance right. It feels like a big deal but it usually has a much better card.

If you're a hard core wrestling fan then WM isn't really aimed at you (us) For me Summerslam > WM.

For me, I'm more looking forward to nxt takeover the night before, shouldn't be difficult for that to totally spank the pile of sh. rubbish they are claiming is a wrestlemania card.

There is no way Shane won't take this match. Ever since his latest return, he has been sold to the fans as someone who cares about them and the wrestlers, that he is not yes man to his dad, but is an alternative McMahon.

Nothing can be further from the truth. Shane has an ego the size of his dad's. If anything, Steph (who has got on my nerves so much lately) is more independent from Vince than Shane is due to her husband's influence.

But it is all relative. Vince's word goes, despite the shareholders, and you can see he wants a legacy.
If Shane beats AJ at Mania, I might well pack the whole thing in.
