G'day G'day fellas

I got to thinking about the royal rumble and Lesnar I thought to myself surely the best way to build him back up is to win the rumble, then I thought about his match for the title at mania if he won. I realized there's no way they can put the title back on him unless he's on almost every Raw as long as he has the title, why? Ratings would go way down for Raw if people know the champ won't be on raw but the main champ will be on smackdown they'd watch smackdown instead am I right?

Something along the lines of Goldberg and lesner going over the ropes at the same time is the route I believe they will goto keep the wm match alive. Both pushed over by reigns no doubt.

They'll both just stand in the ring for two minutes. Then look at their watch. Pull a time card out of their trunks. Jump over the top rope and head to the back. Before they leave, Vince will stamp their time card and hand them a million dollars.

Seriously though, I wouldn't be surprised if they both had a title reign in 2017. Something like Goldberg winning at or before MitB. Lesnar beats him for the title at SS. Then the MitB winner beats Lesnar at HiaC after he already had a match. That way Bork and Berg would each only have to wrestle 3-4 matches and in WWE's eyes, it'd give them up to 6 months of storyline.

I think Goldberg has gone over much better than they anticipated, be interesting to see how far they run with it.

I don't see Brock or Goldberg winning the rumble, their potential rematch will be a main event regardless.

The more I read about Taker vs AJ, the more I think Taker wins the Rumble and AJ defends up until Mania.

A return for Finn would be nice, but not a winning one.

Depending on what Cena is doing for Mania your post just gave me an idea Bessex. Have Goldberg and Lesnar enter near the end of the Rumble and clear house to thin out the numbers at the end. Have Brock and Goldberg slug it out for a while to get the crowd going and have the ring fill up with final few opponents. Have Cena come out at 29 and get in a tussle with the otherest remaining contestants. Have Taker come out at 30 and most of the contestants freeze for a few seconds in awe. Have Lesnar and Goldberg keep fighting by the ropes then have Cena send them both over the top at same time. Have Cena clear house of everyone else and call Taker to step in the ring. Crowd go nuts, they Duke it out and Taker wins the Rumble.

Next night have Cena come out and call it Taker. He says Taker has won every title there is to win but he's never beaten Cena at Mania, and Cena has never had the chance to test himself against the Phenom. Have Taker reply that Cena isn't the warrior he once was, Taker feels he has one more title run in him and he wants to face the real face that runs the place - AJ Styles. Cena tries to get on the card at Mania for IC title but gets beat and has no match at Mania. Have AJ face Taker and at the end of the match have Cena come out and cost Taker the match. AJ keeps the title, Cena turns heel and it sets up a match between Cena and Taker down the line (Maybe Summerslam)

When the plan seemed to be for Cena to face Taker I though it was probably the last big chance to turn him heel bu having him to cheat to beat Taker at Mania (maybe even retire him) It's more difficult now but that would still work and would be a decent storyline. It could even end with Cena cementing himself as a heel by retiring Taker at Summerslam or the next Mania.
